Congratulations to our Business Manager, Dorota Opiela, for completing the Ophthalmic Assistant Course by Eye Learning. A great achievement that will benefit our clinic, our patients and our referrers.
Over the past year, there has been an influx of media articles on the impact of blue light and digital screens – some based on misinformation. RANZCO has released an evidence-based position statement on the effects of blue light and digital screens on vision. This highlights the risks associated with normal environmental exposure.

Enjoy a fabulous dinner while our doctors are presenting. After dinner, we will head over to the adjoining Chatswood Private Hospital, where the interactive section of the evening will be held. Our doctors will be able to show you in theatre, in much greater detail, the intricacies of the surgical procedures that were discussed over dinner. You will have an opportunity to perform various procedures yourself!
The final part of the evening, will be a bit of fun, to celebrate the festive season.

Last night, we had a small group workshop where 14 optometrists witnessed myself and Andrew perform an intravitreal injection on patients. There was also a Q & A session with the patients, where the optometrists got a perspective from the patients on their experience going through the treatment process for wet AMD. We wanted to cap the numbers at 12, to ensure that it was interactive and personal. We got a very positive feedback. Thank you all for joining us.
