“Spectacular Sunday” CPD Educational Meeting on Sunday 30 March 2025

We are hosting exclusive invitation-only CPD event and to celebrate our clinics 10 year anniversary. This time, we will have a more interactive event, so that the experience can be more personal, with hands-on sessions.

We will start at the Rydges Hotel, with small group rotating sessions. To ensure that the day is spectacular, during the lunchtime session, you will be treated to a menu of mediterranean flavours, cooked with fire and smoke at Nomad. In addition to our ophthalmologists, there will be guest speakers presenting on clinical topics that are relevant to your practice.

We are seeking a caring orthoptist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate or an experienced orthoptist who is looking to join a great team. We currently have 3 full time orthoptists. You will be providing support for 6 consulting Ophthalmic Surgeons.

Essential criteria:

You must be a team player with excellent communication skills and possess the ability to be proactive and to work autonomously in a busy environment. You must have strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism are key in being successful in this role.

The position involves vision assessment, history taking and the following tests:
• Humphrey visual field
• Heidelberg OCT
• Optos ultra-widefield imaging
• IOL Master 700
• Corneal specular microscopy
• Pentacam corneal topography

The role involves assisting with intravitreal injections and minor procedures. Apart from clinical duties, the successful applicant should be comfortable with administrative duties including working at the reception desk, patient bookings, organising theatre lists, and medical correspondence dispatch.

The hours and days are flexible (Monday to Friday) and the successful candidate will be able fit in with the other orthoptic staff to fill the required clinic hours.

Multi-Specialty GP Educational Dinner on Monday 8 April

Dr Jay Yohendran and the team at Northern Sydney Cataract are committed to providing high quality learning experiences that benefit our local GP community. We have listened to your colleagues requests, and our event will focus on five speciality areas — ENT, endocrynology, dermatology, gastroenterology and ophthalmology. We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our team. This position will primarily manage the day to day workflow of the front desk, ensuring the smooth operation of patient clinics. We seek someone who understands the commitment of working in a small and cohesive team that prioritise patient care, and someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism and reliability. Experience in specialist medical reception and administration is an advantage. This is not a position that can be done remotely.
